I dialogued with one of the folks now promoting the film. Contacted Dick Gordon and asked if the book could be promoted through a dialogue. Too early according to Dick.
Reminded of Douglas Rushkoff's MediaVirus and Coercion. Similar to Spore, we have something to say in the discuss. We should use the media to interject artificial life sound bytes.
In more edifying news, I had a chapter proposal accepted on the Noble Ape cognitive simulation. So Justin Lyon, Gerald de Jong, Bruce, countless Noble Ape users and more will get the detailed answers they have been requesting for years.

Is artificial life a hobby for you, or is it connected with your profession?

I think it's improved a lot since you've introduced discussions with multiple people, rather than just interviewing one guest.
I would be very interested in listening to a discussion on artificial societies in ALife. In the ecosystem/evolution domain, this could be about simulating social organisms such as ants or termites, and how swarms of individual agents can work together for the benefit of the group. How do these social organisms fare in competition against other organisms, and what kind of interesting societal structures emerge?
I would also be interested in the topic of human social simulations, but I don't know if this would be within the topic domain of the Biota podcast, as it seems mostly focused on biological organism and ecosystem simulations.
