Overview
The Biota LIVE podcast takes the original elements of the Biota Interviews, Chats and Conversations podcast and adds a live chatroom and call-in component.
The show is typically recorded on Friday, 8pm Pacific. However occasionally there are Saturday, 10am Pacific shows to bring in a larger group of live callers from the East Coast and Europe.

Format
The experience to-date with BlogTalkRadio seems to indicate a 3-8 minute uptake window for people to tune-in and starting in the chat etc. For this reason the early part of the show will need to be in an introduction format and a lead-in to the main topics and discussion at the 10 minute mark.
At this stage of planning, there is no additional format to the shows. Format will hopefully evolve to fit the contributions and guests.
